QUALIFYING FOR THE MAN OF THE MOUNTAIN WORLD FINALS

Qualifying Points for the MAN OF THE MOUNTAIN WORLD FINALS are a total of ALL the points earned in BOTH the ICE & FIRE Series monthly races in 2021. This includes points from races in February, March, April, June, July, August, September, & October. Additional factors taken into account when qualifying for the MAN OF THE MOUNTAIN WORLD FINALS are the ICE & FIRE FINALS POINTS CHAMPIONS.

The following MAN OF THE MOUNTAIN WORLD FINALS round information is true for all Qualified classes: BASX Pro, Street Stock, Street Pro, Eliminator, Unlimited, BASX Bearing, BASX Mini, Mid America, Spec Trucks, & Street Rod.

QUARTER FINALS ROUND

Builders with less than 50% (in total points), but at least 1 point qualify for the QUARTER FINAL round. Only the winning car from the QUARTER FINAL round moves onto the SEMIFINALS.

SEMIFINALS ROUND

All builders in the top 50% (in total points) and the winner from the QUARTER FINALS round qualify for the SEMIFINALS. Four builders from the SEMIFINAL round move onto the FINALS. This will include any cars from the top 3 builders that are faster than the 4th place car.

FINALS ROUND

The ICE & FIRE Series Points Champions and the top 4 builders from the SEMIFINAL round qualify for the FINALS. The FINALS will consist of 5 or 6 builders because it is possible than one builder wins both the ICE & FIRE Series and takes up 2 spots in the FINALS.

MAN OF THE MOUNTAIN WORLD FINALS OVERALL CHAMPION SCORING

The Top 6 builders in each class will score MOTM Overall World Champion points (1st-10, 2nd-7, 3rd-5, 4th-4, 5th-3 & 6th-2) in the 10 MOTM scoring classes (BASX Pro, Street Stock, Street Pro, Eliminator, Unlimited, BASX Bearing, BASX Mini, Mid America, Spec Trucks, & Street Rod).  Points awarded for each class may be adjusted based on number of builders entered. Classes with more builders may earn more points than classes with fewer builders.  Each builder’s total MOTM Overall World Champion points will consist of ONLY their top 5 highest scoring classes.  The builder with the highest overall point total will be crowned the:

MAN OF THE MOUNTAIN OVERALL WORLD CHAMPION!
